ThermiStar-series heat pumps made in Germany span a wide power spectrum: Air/water heat pumps are available in numerous models ranging from 5.4 to 41.5 kW, water/water heat pumps range from 5.4 to 53.1 kW, and brine/water heat pumps from MHG are available in gradations from 3.9 to 39.8 kW.

MHG anticipates competitive advantages resulting above all from the fact that its huge product assortment enables optimal customisation to specific contexts and individual customer wishes.

A technical highlight of MHG heat pumps is their high-temperature top loading technology, optionally available for all units: While in heating mode, around 10 per cent of the hot gas is conducted away and continuously delivered to the hot-water tank via the top module with no additional energy input. This saves energy and optimizes warm-water comfort and convenience at the same time.

Kasüschke quotes above-average output figures and standard Siemens comfort control, factory-integrated in all combination options, as further arguments for the new MHG heat pumps. ThermiStar heat pumps generate on average far in excess of 4 kilowatts of heat from 1 kilowatt of input energy at temperatures of around 55 degrees Celsius, and so obtain outstanding efficiency – as is the norm at MHG.

The new ThermiStar heat pumps are available as pure heating devices or as compact units with integrated 150-litre or 200-litre hot-water tank. Depending on the model, MHG offers a reversible module for comfort active cooling and/or a passive cooling module.

Operators of MHG heat pumps benefit from a high level of heating comfort and ease of use, as well as from low maintenance requirements, high dependability and a long useful life. This is due not least of all to the modular construction: Designed according to the building-block concept, both the technical assembly and interior housing of the compact, extremely space-saving heat pumps are identical. That not only increases reliability and durability; it also makes the work easier for installation experts, as does the integrated diagnostic system, which monitors the entire heat-generation process using multiple sensors. Also contributing to maximum operational security are ongoing pressure measurement and phase monitoring. At the core of ThermiStar heat pumps is a compressor with scroll technology for extremely quiet and low-maintenance operation.

Diverse complementary system offering

As is the case with its other boiler product ranges, MHG offers sophisticated system technology with a wide spectrum of quality components as a supplement to its ThermiStar series of heat pumps. These components are calibrated precisely for use in combination with the heat pumps. On offer is a wide variety of hot-water tanks, buffer tanks, combination tanks and solar tanks with volumes from 150 to 1,000 litres. For coupling heat pumps with a solar heating system, MHG offers its SOLARMAT line of proven flat-plate collectors and premium evacuated tube collectors. Beyond that, to cover peak loads in existing buildings, MHG customers can rely on a broad product portfolio of gas and oil-condensing boilers and pellet boilers.
